.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions and generally light winds are expected for most of
the state today, although fog over much of the southern half of
the state this morning may produce damp conditions early on.
Minimum relative humidity values this afternoon will range from
around 20 percent in the northwest to 50 percent in the southeast.
Southwesterly winds remain relatively light through tonight,
though a little downsloping will likely produce breezy conditions
along much of the Missouri Coteau.

A cold frontal passage will occur from northwest to southeast
through the day Saturday. This will produce breezy to windy
conditions out of the northwest along with fairly widespread
shower and thunderstorm chances, especially in the eastern half of
the state where there is a 50 to 80 percent chance of a wetting
rain. A few storms may be severe with large hail and damaging
winds, especially in south central and eastern North Dakota. Very
windy conditions and additional shower chances are then on tap
for Sunday.
