.DISCUSSION...
Light winds and slightly cooler temperatures are expected today,
with the lowest minimum humidity of around 30 percent in
southwest North Dakota. The minimum humidity forecast then
decreases to around 25 percent on Wednesday and 20 percent on
Thursday in the southwest. Winds remain light on Wednesday, but
western parts of the state could see an afternoon wind shift from
southwest to northwest at around 10 to 15 mph. Northwest winds
remain light in western North Dakota on Thursday, but increase to
15 to 20 mph east of Highway 83.
The minimum humidity forecast trends slightly higher Friday and
Saturday, the latter of which could be breezy in western parts of
the state with southeast winds around 20 mph. Isolated to
scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday,
with the highest chances in south central North Dakota where a
few storms could become strong to severe during the afternoon and
evening. Mostly dry weather is otherwise expected until the
second half of the weekend.
