.KEY MESSAGES...

- A few showers are possible today through Sunday night mainly
  south and west of the Missouri River. Isolated to scattered
  showers, potentially with a rumble or two of thunder, are
  then possible Memorial Day through Wednesday across the area.

- High temperatures should remain fairly stable from around 60
  southwest to the low 70s northeast through early next week. A
  warming trend is then favored to finish out next week.

A quiet day continues across western and central North Dakota.
No major changes needed for the early afternoon update.

Foggy conditions are improving across the southwest, but some
patchy fog remains evident via the observations and webcams. No
major changes were needed for this update. Just blended in the
latest observations to the going forecast.

Webcams and observations show that areas of fog have developed
in far southwestern ND. This fog appears to be dense in some
locations, therefore issued an SPS until 730 am MDT for Adams,
Bowman, and Slope counties. The rest of the forecast remains on
track at this time.

A northwest to southeast orientated narrow line of light rain
remains from approximately Williston to Hazen. This line should
dissipate over the next couple to few hours. After which, dry
conditions are expected for the remainder of the morning. A few
showers are then possible at times off weak WAA in the
southwest this afternoon through Sunday night. Any rain that
develops should be light with no more than a couple to few
hundredths of total rainfall at any particular location.

Better precipitation chances at around 40 percent are then
possible from Memorial Day through Wednesday as an upper low
begins to deepen over the Central Plains before lifting into
the Great Lakes Region. At present, the best chances for a
wetting rain are west of the Missouri River and south of I94
Though overall, the heaviest rains are strongly favored to
remain well south of the state. Severe weather isn`t
anticipated, but a rumble or two of thunder isn`t out of the
question either during the afternoon or evening hours.

Temperature trends should remain fairly stable through Tuesday
before a warming trend is favored to close out the week.
Overall, this means highs today through Tuesday will be around
60 in the southwest to low 70s northeast and lows mostly in the
40s. Highs are then favored to reach the 70s across the entire
forecast area by the end of the workweek.

shower or two will be possible across the southwest this
