The National Weather Service in Binghamton has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Pike County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
  Southwestern Wayne County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 700 PM EDT.

* At 516 PM EDT, 911 dispatch has reported multiple roads flooded in
  the area, including I84 eastbound near exit 17. Between 4 and 5
  inches of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is already
  occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Sterling, Greentown, Ledgerdale, Angels, Newfoundland and Panther.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Moss Hollow Creek, Bridge Creek, Wallenpaupack Creek, Roaring
  Brook, Mozette Creek, West Branch Wallenpaupack Creek, Wilcox
  Creek, East Branch Wallenpaupack Creek and Jones Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
