Temperatures - Warmer than Normal The average temperature at Rochester International Airport was 72F. This was 1.5F warmer than the 1991-2020 normal of 70.5F. 8 out of the last 10 Julys were near normal. The average high temperature was 81.1F. This was 0.8F warmer than the 1991-2020 normal of 80.3F. The average low temperature was 63F. This was 2.2F warmer than the 1991-2020 normal of 60.8F. This was tied for the 13th warmest with 1983. The hottest temperature was 88F on July 23. The coldest high temperature was 71F on July 17. The warmest low temperature was 72F on July 4 and July 22. The coldest low temperature was 51F on July 17. The temperature never reached or exceeded 90F. The long-term average (1886-2025) is 4.2 days. A 23-day stretch with temperatures above 60-degrees ended on July 12. This streak began on the first day of summer (June 20). This was the 2nd longest. The only longer stretch of days was 26 days in 1955 (July 12-August 6). Precipitation - Drier than Normal A total of 3.33 inches of rain fell at Rochester International Airport. This was 0.86 inches drier than the 1991-2020 normal of 4.19 inches.
