The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Clayton County in northeastern Iowa...
  Southeastern Fayette County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 700 AM CDT.

* At 344 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have produced
  between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Between 345 AM and 600
  AM, up to 2 inches of additional rain may fall. Flash flooding is
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, streets and other poor drainage and low-lying
           areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Elkader, Strawberry Point, Garnavillo, Arlington, Farmersburg,
  Volga, St. Olaf, Clayton, Osborne, Mederville, Communia,
  Littleport, Saint Sebald, Motor, Thomasville, Clayton Center, and
  Joy Springs County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
