...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT IOSCO COUNTY THROUGH 1000 AM
EDT...

At 935 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Plainfield Township, or 11 miles northwest of Tawas City, moving east
at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Oscoda, East Tawas, Tawas City, Au Sable, Long Lake, South Branch,
Hale, Tawas Point State Park, Plainfield Township, National City,
Wilber, and Sid Town.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
