...Lake Effect Snow Showers Tonight...

Lake effect snow showers are expected to ramp up in intensity
tonight. The heaviest bands of snow are expected to linger just
offshore, but accumulations are still anticipated across portions
of Leelanau, Benzie, and Manistee counties. Areas along the
immediate shorelines are expected to see 2 to 3 inches of
accumulation from tonight through Thursday morning, with locally
higher amounts possible. Areas farther inland will likely see less
snowfall, ranging anywhere from an additional dusting to locally
over an inch of snowfall. Reduced visibility and snow covered
roads are possbile through the night tonight and into Thursday
morning. Be sure to be cognizant of changing conditions, and give
plenty of distance between you and the car in front of you if out
traveling tonight.
