.DISCUSSION... Dry conditions prevail to start the day today.
Cloudy skies are expected, but ample dry air in the low levels of
the atmosphere will allows for RHs to dip into the low 50s,
perhaps even upper 40s early in the afternoon. Eventually,
anticipating showers and storms to materialize at the burn site
later today, and especially in the evening. Coupled with
increasing moisture, this should lead to a rise in RHs through the
afternoon. Winds of 5 to 10mph out of the S to SSW may gust as
high as 15 to 20mph at times, but overall anticipated to remain on
the lighter side. Winds may shift in the event a lake breeze can
penetrate far enough inland, which would be a shift to more
easterly flow. Any shower or thunder development may also lead to
erratic wind patterns, but this will likely remain suppressed
until later in the afternoon. Mixing heights will rise quickly
through the morning into the afternoon, peaking at roughly 4.5 to
5kft before lowering later in the afternoon with the influence of
higher moisture and shower / storm potential... then trending
quite poor overnight (2kft or less, more likely below 1kft). Rain
and thunder becomes much more prevalent tonight at the burn site,
carrying through Thursday. Not anticipating a complete washout as
drier condition may persist some Thursday morning before more
showers and thunderstorms build in the afternoon. As such, fire
growth conditions will be quite poor starting tonight through
Thursday.
