Cloud cover will decrease today, and except for some early morning drizzle, no precipitation is expected. However, a chance for showers and thunderstorms will return to northwest and north central lower Michigan late tonight and Sunday morning. Showers and storms are likely late Sunday night into Monday, and strong storms and locally heavy rain are possible then. West to northwest winds will gust to 15 to 20 mph today, with breezier winds the further north you go. The dryer spots will see humidity values lower to around 40 percent, with mixing heights around 3500 feet. Sunday will be warmer and somewhat more humid, with a light southwest breeze.
