185 FNUS53 KAPX 051906 FWFAPX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan National Weather Service Gaylord MI 306 PM EDT Thu Jun 5 2025 ...QUIET AND GENERALLY DRY WEATHER CONTINUES... .DISCUSSION... High pressure remains in control through most of the next couple days...with prevailing generally NE flow light enough (5mph or less) to allow for lake breezes during the afternoons. A few more mid/high clouds around on Friday as a weak system passes by...with a sprinkle or two; afternoon wind gusts around 15-20mph possible. Overall...conditions very similar for the next couple days...with afternoon RHs dropping into the 25-30 percent range again Friday...and mixing heights again in the 6-8kft range across the interior...perhaps a little lower closer to Lake Michigan. While things should slowly start to moisten up Saturday as flow becomes more S/SE...not impossible the dry air mass in place remains more persistent...and could keep RHs on the lower side for yet another day.
