...Rain-free and much cooler weather returns today...

.DISCUSSION...Rain ends quickly early this morning, with rain-free
conditions expected today through Friday. Additional more scattered
shower and thunderstorm chances return Friday night into Saturday.
Somewhat gusty northwest winds will usher in much cooler weather
today, helping keep relative humidity values well above critical
levels. Much more aggressive mixing out of low level moisture on
Friday, dropping RH values in some interior areas of northeast lower
Michigan to near 40 percent. Mixing heights today will remain
somewhat muted, topping out mostly between 3.0-4.0 kft this
afternoon. Mixing heights increase to over 5.0 kft Friday afternoon.
Winds will be light Friday, with local afternoon lake breeze
development possible.
