.DISCUSSION...
Weak cold front dropping through today...with a switch to northerly
flow tonight into Wednesday. Flow then turns more east/northeast
aloft (winds aloft 20-30mph around 1kft) Wednesday night, working
its way down to the surface by Thursday morning, though near-surface
winds remain closer to 5-10mph with higher gusts at times. Mixing
heights Wednesday a little lower than today, around 3-5kft, esp near
Manistee/Cadillac; not impossible it may try to rain near the M-55
corridor. Possible that mixing heights could be lower than expected
Thursday. Cooler but also drier conditions expected Thursday and Friday
with afternoon RHs to drop into the 25-35 percent range and a better shot
at afternoon lake breezes.
