...Localized near-critical RHs possible Friday...
.DISCUSSION...
Rain-free weather will persist across northern Michigan through the
end of the work week. Northwest winds will continue to bring a drier
airmass into the region through the remainder of today. When
combined with efficient daytime heating and mixing on Friday,
widespread RHs in the 30-40 percent range are anticipated from late
Friday morning into early Friday evening -- including the potential
for localized areas to see near-critical RHs (25-30 percent) for a
brief time during the afternoon. Winds will turn and increase some
out of the south-southwest Friday morning with sustained 20 ft
speeds between 5-10 mph and gusts to around 15 mph at times through
the afternoon. RH concerns are not anticipated on Saturday as more
moisture returns to the region ahead of our next rain chances late
Saturday.
