.DISCUSSION...Another about perfect day across northern Michigan
this Labor Day, with rain-free weather and light winds. Low level
moisture will mix out again, but still looking at afternoon relative
humidity values remaining above 40 percent. Rain-free conditions
continue into Tuesday morning, with shower chances steadily
increasing Tuesday afternoon...and especially Tuesday night. Rain
totals likely to mostly remain under half an inch, with some locally
heavier rain amounts possible. A few lingering showers possible
Wednesday as well. Increasing low level moisture will keep relative
humidity values elevated both Tuesday and Wednesday. South to
southwest winds increase Tuesday into Tuesday night, with some gusts
likely exceeding critical levels. Southwest winds continue to
increase Wednesday, with frequent gusts up and over 25 to 30 mph
expected.
