...A few showers and thunderstorms today...

.DISCUSSION...Moisture will once again increase across the area
today, perhaps enough so to kick off a few showers and
thunderstorms... especially this afternoon. Rain coverage will be
limited, and likely most areas will not experience any rain at all.
That increasing moisture should help keep relative humidity values
above 40 percent, this despite temperatures warming up into the
upper 70s to middle 80s. Rain chances end tonight...leading into a
rain-free and rather warm Sunday. Threat for additional scattered
showers/storms return for Monday. Low level moisture does mix out a
bit more aggressively on Sunday, with rh values likely dipping
closer to 40 percent during the afternoon across parts of northeast
lower Michigan. Mixing heights look to increase generally to 4.0 to
5.5 kft from the late morning through the afternoon hours today away
from the immediate coasts. Similar mixing heights expected on
Sunday. No significant wind concerns through this weekend.
