...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Michigan...

  Manistee River near Sherman affecting Wexford County.

  Rifle River near Sterling affecting Arenac County.

For the Rifle River...including Sterling...Minor flooding is
forecast.
For the Manistee River...including Sherman...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued Friday morning at 915 AM EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
  This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Manistee River near Sherman.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Flooding of property and homes adjacent to
  right bank of river along Ojibway Drive, Ottawa Drive, and
  Chippewa Drive 1 mile north of Sherman.  Flooding of N11 Road
  between W14 Road and W16 Road 1 mile northwest of Mesick.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 15.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 PM EDT Thursday was 16.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Wednesday morning and continue falling to 14.8 feet Thursday,
    April 10.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.7 feet on 03/29/1976.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Rifle River near Sterling.

* WHEN...Until late Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, High water begins to impact canoe livery at
  River View Campground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 5.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow morning to a crest of 6.3 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    6.4 feet on 06/14/2010.
