* WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions
  with heat index values up to 112. For the Heat Advisory, heat
  index values up to 105 expected.

* WHERE...Collingsworth County.

* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 9 PM CDT this evening.
  For the Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 8 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
  humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

* WHAT...Air temperatures and/or heat index values up to 105 both
  days.

* WHERE...In Oklahoma, Beaver County. In Texas, Armstrong, Donley,
  Gray, Hemphill, Lipscomb, Palo Duro Canyon, and Wheeler Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 9 PM CDT this evening.
  For the second Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 8 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
