...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

Very hot temperatures continue in the spot location and adjacent
areas. Strong, southerly winds and low RH values have created
elevated fire weather conditions for the spot area and these fire
weather conditions are expected to prevail for the next several
hours. Surface winds are expected to stay breezy to strong (15-25
mph) even overnight; however, the wind direction will largely
remain the same for the rest of the day, perhaps only shifting SSE
later this evening. Instability is present for pyrocumulus
development. There is still a bit of a temperature inversion aloft
that the smoke plumes will have to overcome. Yet, if the fire
temperature becomes even hotter (+80 degrees Celsius) pyrocumulus
development chances increase. Though surface temperatures will
not cool down drastically tonight, RH recovery is expected to be
fair with possible maximum RH values reaching over 50% tomorrow
morning.
