.DISCUSSION...
A more typical southwesterly downslope wind set up is expected this
afternoon which will likely aid in amplifying the already extreme
heat and dry conditions. Added to this will be areas that are still
holding on to dry fuels that will bring a period of elevated fire
weather conditions for the Western Panhandles this afternoon. These
conditions will be short lived, however, as a new disturbance is
expected to push in from the north and bring chances of showers and
thunderstorms this evening and Friday.
