...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern Dallam County in the panhandle of Texas...
  Northeastern Hartley County in the panhandle of Texas...

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 906 PM CDT, the public reported heavy rain in the advisory
    area along Highway 385 due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Up to 1 inch of rain has
    fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dalhart and Hartley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
