...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SATURDAY FOR
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 1500 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12
  inches for elevations above 1500 feet with locally higher amounts.

* WHERE...Western Greene and Western Ulster Counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The weight of the snow
  could lead to downed trees and power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain will mix with and then change to snow
  tonight and continue through Friday. Periods of snow are expected
  across lower elevations as well with amounts generally 5 inches or
  less.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches,
  mainly for elevations above 1000 feet.

* WHERE...Schoharie County.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain will mix with and then change to snow
  tonight and continue into Friday afternoon before tapering off.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
