...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT DUTCHESS COUNTY THROUGH 1100 PM
EDT...

At 1014 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Pleasant Valley, or near Poughkeepsie, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck, Pleasant Valley, Wappingers Falls, Amenia,
Pine Plains, Millbrook, Millerton, Stanfordville, Fairview, Hopewell
Junction, Red Oaks Mill, Myers Corner, Staatsburg, Wingdale, Dover
Plains, Beekman, Bethel, Milan, and Smithfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

shelter inside a building or vehicle.
