.DISCUSSION...
An upper level shortwave will drive increased cloud coverage and
scattered, light showers this afternoon. Beginning around noon,
the probability of precipitation will jump to around 15-20%,
increasing to a maximum of about 25% through 1-2 PM, and quickly
decreasing thereafter as the disturbance passes and high pressure
builds back into the region. Rainfall amounts will not reach more
than a trace to a couple tenths of an inch, as we generally remain
fairly dry. In fact, minimum relative humidity values today will
range from about 35-40% as deep mixing enhances drying of the
lowest levels of the atmospheric column. Deep mixing will also
allow west to northwest winds to increase gradually this morning
into this afternoon. Sustained winds will reach 10-12 mph with
maximum gusts of 20-25 mph.

A low pressure system and a warm front increase clouds tonight,
bringing periods of showers to open the weekend with high minimum
RH values in the 60 to 80 percent range on Saturday with light
southerly winds less than 10 mph.
