.DISCUSSION...

Scattered to numerous rain showers and thunderstorms are expected
after noon today. The most likely timing for thunderstorms is
between 2 PM and 8 PM where a few storms can become severe.
Primary concerns with severe storms this afternoon is damaging
wind gusts, hail up to 1 inch, and heavy rainfall with rainfall
rates up to 1 inch per hour in the heaviest storms. Outside of
thunderstorm activity, southerly winds of 5 to 10 mph continues.
By 8 PM, the severe weather threat should diminish with lingering
light rain showers through midnight tonight. A stray shower or
non- severe thunderstorm could occur on Friday and RH values will
stay above 50 percent through the entire day. Winds will become
westerly around 5 mph for Friday.
