.DISCUSSION...
Rainfall across eastern New York and western New England over the
last 24 hours ranges from about 0.01" to 0.25". Dry conditions
are expected to return regionwide early this morning as a
frontal system departs. Though winds will be breezy today, and
portions of the Mid-Hudson Valley and southwest New England will
see minimum RH in and around 30%, the strongest wind gusts will
not intersect these driest areas. Therefore, after coordination
with fire weather partners and neighboring offices, it was
decided that there was not a need for a Special Weather
Statement at this time.
