The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Litchfield County in northern Connecticut...

* Until 1115 PM EDT.

* At 801 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has
  fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Thomaston, Oakville, Woodbury Center, Terryville, Watertown,
  Plymouth, Woodbury, Delano Field, Minortown, Reynolds Bridge,
  North Woodbury, Hotchkissville, Plymouth Green, Hancock, Pomeraug,
  Tolles, Allentown, Pequabuck and Terryville Station.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
