...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Southern Herkimer County in New York.

* WHEN...From this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered showers and thunderstorms with heavy downpours will
    lead to an increased risk for flash flooding late this
    afternoon and evening in the western Mohawk Valley. Urban,
    low lying and poor drainage areas will be most susceptible to
    flooding.
