...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT AKDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 6 inches.
  Winds gusting as high as 65 mph.

* WHERE...Eastern Aleutians.

* WHEN...Until midnight AKDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to
  blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are possible at times. Travel
  could be very difficult. Area roadways are dangerous for traveling.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Local officials have requested to stay off
  roads as much as possible. Travel only if necessary.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous. If you must travel, keep
an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.

 For the latest road conditions call 5 1 1 or visit 511.alaska.gov.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM AKDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations up to 3
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast from Kipnuk north including Nunivak
  Island.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM AKDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to
  blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel, have a
winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your
vehicle.
