...INCREASED WATER LEVELS FOR THE KUSKOKWIM COAST THIS WEEKEND...

Water levels are projected to rise above the normal highest tide
line this weekend. Minor flooding will be possible during the
overnight tides on Saturday and Sunday. The potential for flooding
early Saturday will more than likely be due to the tide cycle.
However, a front from a western Bering low is expected to reach
the Kuskokwim coastline overnight Saturday into Sunday, when gusty
east to southeast winds increase along the coast. The addition of
those winds in combination with the diurnal tide cycle could lead
to higher than normal tides and minor flooding. Confidence is low
with the magnitude of the flooding potential and timing. Please
monitor for updates to forecast.
