.DISCUSSION...

A front is currently pushing across interior Southwest Alaska,
bringing widespread rainfall and a 60 to 70 percent chance of
wetting rainfall across the forecast area. The heaviest rain for
today will fall this morning, and then taper to showers by the
afternoon. Another disturbance will move across the area by late
this evening, bringing another round of rainfall to the region.
This system will have somewhat less moisture to work with, but
rain showers will continue through Sunday. Outside of rain
showers, cool and cloudy conditions will keep relative humidity
values high. Southerly winds will decrease through Sunday, with
wind speeds falling below 10 mph early Sunday morning.
