Spot Forecast for USCG Adak...USCG
National Weather Service ANCHORAGE AK
957 AM AKDT Fri Sep 11 2026
Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1000 AKDT on September 11.
.DISCUSSION...
There are no current observations for either Adak or Atka making Shemya
(400 miles away) the closest current observation. Therefore, be aware that
this forecast is being made without any nearby observations.
A nearly stationary weather front is over the Adak region this morning
and will remain over the Adak area through the weekend. A low is then
expected to track along this front and through the area Sunday with a
weak ridge over the area Monday night into Tuesday before another low
moves in from the west.
The best chance for VFR flying conditions into Adak looks to be late Monday
into Tuesday. This timing is highly dependent of the speed at which the
weather systems move and high pressure does not necessarily mean good flying
conditions as it can bring in low stratus and marine fog.
