Spot Forecast for YM MATURITY DISABLED...US Coast Guard
National Weather Service ANCHORAGE AK
920 PM AKDT Wed Apr 30 2025

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 2100 AKDT on April 30.
.DISCUSSION...

Cool northerly flow will slowly increase over the southwest corner
of the Bering Sea as a low pressure system moves from the North
Pacific into the central Aleutians between Thursday and Friday.
Winds could approach small craft thresholds (25 kts) as the wind
nears peak intensity during the day on Friday.

A weak upper disturbance moving east from Kamchatka into the
western Bering could help set off a few light showers as it
approaches from Thursday night into Friday, with temperatures at
the surface cold enough for any light precipitation to fall as
mainly snow. Marine stratus already in place will likely keep
ceilings close to MVFR range, or around 2000 to 4000 ft through
Friday. Ceilings could lower below this threshold at times, but
the pattern does not look very favorable for very low stratus and
fog to develop at this time.
