296 WHAK42 PAFC 071249 CFWALU Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Anchorage AK 449 AM AKDT Tue Oct 7 2025 AKZ755-080200- /O.CON.PAFC.CF.Y.0006.251007T1500Z-251008T1200Z/ Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island- 449 AM AKDT Tue Oct 7 2025 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 4 AM AKDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Water levels as high as 1.5 to 3.5 feet above the normal highest tide line. * WHERE...Along the Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island. * WHEN...This morning to early Wednesday morning, coinciding with high tides this morning and again late tonight. * IMPACTS...Coastal flooding of low lying areas and erosion are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Persistent southerly to southwesterly winds will range from 45 mph to 55 mph this afternoon through Wednesday morning. This will lead to coastal impacts such as storm surge and flooding. Elevated water levels are likely during the high tides this morning across Nunivak Island and Mekoryuk and tonight along the Kuskokwim Bay Coast. Coastal hazards also include wave heights ranging from 8 to 12 feet beginning this afternoon before slowly subsiding Wednesday morning. This could cause localized areas of erosion along the coast. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore. && $$
