The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Accomack County in southeastern Virginia...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 849 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
  Lawsonia, or 22 miles southwest of Pocomoke City, moving east at 10
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  central Accomack County, including the following locations...
  Hallwood, Melfa, Mappsville, Wachapreague, Saxis, Accomac, Wallops
  Island, Temperanceville, Nelsonia, and Locustville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
