  Chowan County in northeastern North Carolina...

* Until 930 PM EDT.

* At 859 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Sunbury to 6 miles southwest of Morgans Corner
  to 6 miles north of Westover, moving northeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hertford, Winfall, South Mills, Chapanoke, Cape Colony, Tyner,
  Morgans Corner, Hobbsville, Valhalla, Belvidere, Horseshoe,
  Pierceville, Peach, Saint Johns, Parkville, Hancock, Nicanor,
  Yeopim Station, Sharon, and Beach Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
