...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN MECKLENBURG COUNTY
THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 432 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Oxford, moving north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southern
Mecklenburg County, including the following locations... Nelson,
Beechwood, Finchley, John H Kerr Dam, Skipwith, Rogers Corner,
Richardson, Buffalo Junction, Keats, and Eppes Fork.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
