...ACCOMACK VA NOAA WEATHER RADIO TRANSMITTER TO BE TURNED OFF
THIS AFTERNOON FROM OVERHEATING DUE TO HVAC ISSUES...

The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter, broadcasting from Accomack,
VA on frequency 162.525 MHZ, will be turned off this afternoon,
June 25, from overheating due to HVAC issues. The transmitter will
be off the air until further notice. However, the broadcast feed
will be on air in the event of severe weather. We apologize for
the service disruption and for any inconvenience.

Neighboring transmitters include Salisbury, MD KEC92 broadcasting
on frequency 162.475 MHZ, and Heathsville, VA WXM57 broadcasting
on 162.400 MHZ.
