...GUSTY WINDS IN THE LOWER BAY AND LOWER JAMES RIVER THIS
EVENING...

Marine weather observations across the lower Chesapeake Bay and
James River are reporting occasional southerly wind gusts between
20 and 25 knots this evening. These gusty winds may persist for
the next few hours, before tapering off some around midnight.
However, a period of more widespread elevated winds are likely
later Saturday morning along and behind a cold front and a Small
Craft Advisory goes into effect starting at 7 AM Saturday morning.

Boaters, especially those in small crafts, should utilize caution
if on the water this evening and be alert for sudden higher gusts
and waves.
