...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM EDT...

For the following areas...
Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA...
York River...

At 621 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located near Tue Marshes Light. The severe thunderstorm was
nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Tue Marshes Light, New Point Comfort, Mobjack Bay, York Spit Reef,
and Poquoson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
