622 FZUS71 KAKQ 021059 MWSAKQ MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT National Weather Service WAKEFIELD VA 659 AM EDT Mon Jun 2 2025 ANZ630>632-634-638-021400- Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point to Windmill Point VA- Chesapeake Bay from Windmill Point to New Point Comfort VA- Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA- Chesapeake Bay from Little Creek VA to Cape Henry VA including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel- James River from James River Bridge to Hampton Roads Bridge- Tunnel- 659 AM EDT Mon Jun 2 2025 ...ELEVATED NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS THIS MORNING ACROSS THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AND LOWER JAMES RIVER... A cold front has crossed the region early this morning. This has resulted in a north to northeast wind around 15 knots with gusts to near 20 knots across the Chesapeake Bay and lower James River. This will also result in waves around 2 to 3 feet. The wind should remain elevated through about 10 AM, and then gradually diminish between 10 AM and noon. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should use caution. $$
