Fire Weather Planning Forecast For CEN/ERN VA...NE NC...MD ERN SHORE
National Weather Service WAKEFIELD VA
502 AM EDT Fri Oct 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FOR MARYLAND TODAY...

High pressure remains overhead with clear skies, a well mixed
environment, and dry weather lingering into next week. Afternoon
highs around 70 degrees, dew points in the lower 30s, RH values
of 20-25%, and N winds 10-15 mph across interior MD will allow for
an increased fire danger risk today. Otherwise, min RH of 25-30%
for the Piedmont, and 30-40% E of I-95 is expected. RH values of
30-35% inland are expected Sat but with lighter winds.
