...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Virginia,
  including the following counties, in south central Virginia,
  Prince George. In southeast Virginia, Sussex.

* WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 854 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
    warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already
    occurring. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sussex and Booker.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when
water begins rising.
