...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following
  counties, Cumberland, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, Louisa and
  Powhatan.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 846 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Goochland, Hadensville, Cartersville, Tuckahoe, Columbia, Gum
    Spring, Oilville, Sabot, Fife, Montpelier, Duncan, Wyndham,
    Lakeside Village, Sandy Hook, Irwin, Maidens, Michaux,
    Dabneys, Orchid and Othma.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
