Motoring Forecast for South Klondike and Haines Highways

South Klondike Highway - Skagway to White Pass-

.ATTENTION...This will be the final issuance of the Road Forecast
for the season. We will begin issuing them, once again, on
Wednesday, October 1st.

.TONIGHT...Rain, except rain and snow past milepost 8. Little or
no snow accumulation. Lows around 38. South wind 10 to 15 mph
decreasing to up to 15 mph in the evening, then shifting to the
north after midnight.
.THURSDAY...Near White Pass, snow in the morning. Rain. No snow
accumulation. Highs around 45. Northeast wind up to 10 mph
shifting to the south in the afternoon.

South Klondike Highway - Carcross to White Pass.

.TONIGHT...Periods of snow mixed with rain. Snowfall amount up to
 1 inch near the pass. Wind southwest 19 mph becoming light this
 evening. Low 30.
.THURSDAY...Periods of snow changing to periods of rain late in the
 morning. High 43.
.THURSDAY night...Periods of rain ending near midnight then cloudy.
 Low 34.


Haines Road - Haines to Pleasant Camp-

.ATTENTION...This will be the final issuance of the Road Forecast
for the season. We will begin issuing them, once again, on
Wednesday, October 1st.

.TONIGHT...Chance of rain early in the evening, then rain. Lows
around 39. Southeast wind up to 10 mph in the evening becoming
light and variable.
.THURSDAY...Rain. Highs around 48. Southeast wind around 10 mph.

Haines Road - Haines Junction to Pleasant Camp...

.TONIGHT...Snow mixed with rain. Snowfall amount up to 1 inch near the
 pass. Snow level 3300 feet lowering to 2000 feet near midnight. Wind
 southeast 19 mph becoming light late this evening. Low 32.
.THURSDAY...Snow mixed with rain changing to rain in the morning. Snow
 level 2000 feet rising to 4300 feet in the morning. Wind becoming
 southeast 12 mph in the morning. Temperature steady near 39 except
 near 48 near Pleasant Camp.
.THURSDAY night...Rain. Wind southeast 12 mph becoming light after
 midnight. Low 34.
