...SNOW FOR THE PANHANDLE THROUGH THE WEEK...

A weak low pressure looks to set up over the northern Gulf of
Alaska this week while high pressure remains over the Yukon.
With this setup as well as cold air that is currently in place
through the panhandle, snow is becoming more likely for all
locations; however some locations could see more snow than
others. For info on those locations expected to see significant
snow accumulations, please refer to the Winter Weather Advisories
for those areas for more details. Temperatures are expected to
warm briefly for the middle of the week, but colder air is
expected to move back into the panhandle just in time for the
Thanksgiving holiday. This colder air will allow what
precipitation that does fall during this time to remain as snow.
At the moment, accumulations for the latter half of the week do
not look to be significant. However, with the cold air and ground
temperatures, what does fall will stick to the ground immediately
and remain. With the prolonged period of snow, there could be
impacts for those attempting to travel.

Visit weather.gov/Juneau to stay up to date on the latest
forecasts as well as changes to the forecast during the week.
