...GALE FORCE WINDS AND FREEZING SPRAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND...

Confidence is high on strong outflow winds developing in north
south facing channels, such as Lynn Canal, Chatham Strait,
Stephens Passage, and Cross Sound. Severe gales with gusts up to
storm force will begin Thursday night and continue through the
weekend. Heavy freezing spray, particularly in Lynn Canal and
northern Stephens Passage, and light to moderate freezing spray in
other northern channels will occur. Heaviest freezing spray is
expected to be Friday night through Sunday, near northern Lynn
Canal, and Saturday night through Sunday for Stephens Passage.
Fully developed seas up to 15 ft are possible Friday into Saturday
down Lynn Canal and northern Chatham Strait.
