035 WWAK83 PAFG 130549 SPSAFG Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 949 PM AKDT Mon May 12 2025 AKZ847>850-131600- Northern Denali Borough-Southern Denali Borough- Eastern Alaska Range North of Trims Camp- Eastern Alaska Range South of Trims Camp- Including Healy, Denali National Park, Kantishna, Anderson, The Parks Highway from MP 237 to MP 288, Cantwell, Carlo Creek, The Parks Highway from MP 202 MP 237, Black Rapids, Donnelly Dome, The Richardson Highway from MP 224 to MP 259, Trims Camp, and The Richardson Highway from MP 202 to MP 224 949 PM AKDT Mon May 12 2025 ...Accumulating Snow Possible Along the Parks and Richardson Highways Tonight... A frontal system from the Bering Sea is bringing rain and much cooler air to the area this afternoon. Snow levels will fall to around 1500 feet through the evening with snow expected down to highway level Monday night into Tuesday morning. There is considerable uncertainty as to how much snow will fall. It is likely that areas from Healy to Cantwell on the Parks Highway and from Donnelly to Isabel Pass on the Richardson Highway will see 1-3 inches. Elevated areas will likely see the highest amounts. Precipitation will taper off Tuesday afternoon with significant melting expected Wednesday. $$ $$
