...RED FLAG WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 10 PM AKDT THIS EVENING...

* AFFECTED AREA...Delta Junction and Northern Denali Borough.

* TIMING...From 10 AM to 10 PM AKDT Saturday.

* WINDS...Southeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs around 90. Lows in the lower 50s.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
  possible. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid
  spread of fires. Main focus of higher winds will be through
  mountain gaps.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.

Conditions in valleys have improved above criteria. Gusty winds
aloft continue in the White Mountains and hills north of the
Tanana River into the night. Gusts overnight will limit inversion
development to the lower valley floors and keep overnight RH
recovery poor for the upper parts of hills and ridges.

* WINDS...East 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 21 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the lower 90s. Lows in the upper 50s.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
  possible. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid
  spread of fires.

* AFFECTED AREA...White Mountains and High Terrain South of the
  Yukon River, Upper Chena River Valley and Chatanika River
  Valley.

* TIMING...Until 1 AM AKDT Sunday.

* WINDS...East 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Lows in the lower 50s. Highs around 90.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
  possible. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid
  spread of fires.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northeast winds will increase Friday
  evening and continue through the night into Saturday morning.
  Poor relative humidity recovery above the valley floors
  expected Friday night. Saturday will be the hottest day of
  this stretch of fire weather concerns with highs near 90.
