...SCHEDULED NOAA WEATHER RADIO OUTAGE...

Due to a required system upgrade at the Fairbanks National Weather
Service Forecast Office, an extended NOAA Weather Radio outage is
expected. The planned outage is scheduled for June 2nd through
June 4th. The NOAA Weather Radio transmitters impacted including
Fairbanks (WXJ81), Utqiagvik (KZZ53), Nome (WXJ62), Kotzebue
(KWN30), and Nenana (KPS504).

Additionally, forecasts and observation recordings on the Alaska
Weather Information Line for Northern Alaska will not be updated
during this period.

Customers of NOAA Weather Radio and the Alaska Weather Information
Line should plan to use alternative forecast resources during
this period, including:

- Forecasts and observations online at: weather.gov/Fairbanks
- Local radio stations
